Finding your Niche in life

More and more these days I am being asked, ” What do you plan on doing after you graduate?”. Considering I am graduating in about five months you would think I could easily answer that question, right? Scary enough that’s not true. I know I want to do some sort of Marketing but its hard to for me to determine the exact kind of business I want to be a part of for the rest of my life and I have grown to be more okay with that as the days until graduation decrease. I realize that I am going to have to do a lot of trial and errors within the first few years of my career to understand just what I want and that is okay. Many people my age are in the same boat as me and I realize that its okay to not know EXACTLY what I want to do as I approach my final semester of college. If there is one piece of advice I could give to those who feel that they are in the same boat as me it would be to first relax its going to be okay, and second get internships. They may not be paid and/or you may end up hating it but it will help you in the long run because it gives you a head start with finding the career you are destined to do. Those long days and countless nights of lost sleep don’t seem like they are getting you anywhere but trust me they are. HARD WORK TRULY PAYS OFF.

I am currently a Senior at St. John Fisher College studying Marketing. I am also currently interning at Kodak Alaris.
